Mind-body integration
Paying attention to the whole experience.
Counselling may explore the connections between bodily sensations, emotions, thoughts and stress. Sessions can include noticing cues, reflecting on patterns and practising regulation strategies where appropriate.
What this can look like
- Noticing early body signals of stress, such as tension, breath or heart rate, before they escalate
- Understanding how emotions show up physically
- Practising regulation strategies you can use in daily life
- Linking body awareness with the patterns explored in therapy
Mind-body work is part of the brain-based approach used across Keystone Therapy sessions, rather than a separate service. It is woven into anxiety, wellbeing, couples and neurodiversity work where helpful.
This work complements rather than replaces medical care. New or unexplained physical symptoms should be assessed by a doctor.
