The ARCHR²™ Framework
Developed by Dr Steve Halls
Understanding is the beginning. ARCHR²™ gives that understanding a direction.
You may recognise what is happening and still find yourself repeating it: the same reaction under pressure, the same relationship conflict, the same cycle of overwhelm and exhaustion. ARCHR²™ connects insight with the work of responding differently.
Developed through my work in neuroscience-informed therapy and as Founding Director of the Syntropy Foundation™, the framework brings six connected areas into focus. It gives us a shared map, so you can understand what we are working on and why.
- 01
Awareness
Understand your experiences and notice patterns.
- 02
Regulation
Practise ways to respond to stress and strong emotions.
- 03
Connection
Explore relationships, support and what matters to you.
- 04
Healing
Work with difficult experiences at a suitable pace.
- 05
Reinforcement
Practise and review changes in everyday life.
- 06
Resilience²
Build resources for adapting to future challenges.
What this looks like in a session
We begin with something real in your life. If a difficult conversation leaves you overwhelmed, for example, we might notice the first signs of activation, explore what the situation means to you, and practise a response that gives you more room to choose.
From there, we can consider connection and repair: how to explain what you need, return to the conversation, or respond to a familiar pattern. Between sessions, the focus may be on trying one manageable step and noticing what happens.
A framework, with room for you
The stages are connected, rather than a fixed six-session course. You may revisit awareness as circumstances change, spend more time building regulation, or focus on reinforcing something that is beginning to work.
ARCHR²™ informs individual therapy, relationship work and program pathways at Keystone Therapy. We agree on goals together and review the approach as we go.
ARCHR²™ is a proprietary therapeutic framework developed by Dr Steve Halls. Its use is tailored to your needs and does not guarantee a particular outcome.
