Anxiety, ADHD, relationship strain and emotional overwhelm can affect the whole nervous system — not just your thoughts. Keystone Therapy provides brain-based counselling and therapy to help you understand the pattern, regulate more effectively, and build a clearer way forward.
"The nervous system doesn't lie. When we learn to listen to it, real change becomes possible."
Keystone Therapy supports adults, couples and families who want practical, brain-based help for the patterns affecting daily life, work, relationships and wellbeing.
Support for persistent worry, physical anxiety, panic, avoidance, stress load and difficulty switching off.
Support for focus, motivation, organisation, emotional reactivity, routines, shame and burnout.
Support for couples and individuals caught in cycles of escalation, shutdown, defensiveness or unmet needs.
Support for adjustment, emotional exhaustion, low mood, grief, pressure and uncertainty.
Support for nervous system dysregulation, protective responses and patterns that continue to affect the present.
Support that considers sleep, routines, lifestyle, connection, habits, regulation and resilience.
Your first appointment is a chance to slow things down and understand what is happening. We will discuss what has brought you to therapy, what patterns are affecting your life or relationships, and what kind of support may be most useful.
Every service draws on brain science, relational research, and a genuine commitment to practical change — supporting relief, regulation, repair and improved functioning.
Persistent worry, panic, or a nervous system that never fully settles — anxiety is exhausting. We work with the biology of anxiety, not just the thoughts, to help you build practical strategies for relief, regulation and recovery.

I'm Steve — therapist, researcher, and the founder of Keystone Therapy in Perth. I developed the ARCHR²™ framework after years of clinical work, training in neuroscience-informed therapies, and a deep personal conviction that the most effective therapy isn't the most complicated — it's the most honest.
My approach draws on brain-based neuro-therapy, lifestyle mental health research, trauma-informed practice, and evidence-informed relational work. I hold specialist experience in anxiety, ADHD and neurodiversity, depression, men's mental health, and couples therapy — including as a qualified PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator.
Before establishing Keystone Therapy, I worked across a range of clinical and community settings. That breadth has shaped a practice that is deeply collaborative — I work with you, not at you.
I see clients in person in Perth and via telehealth across Western Australia and nationally. If you're unsure whether therapy is right for you, I offer a free initial consultation so we can explore that together, with no obligation.
