Anxiety, ADHD, relationship strain and emotional overwhelm can affect the whole nervous system — not just your thoughts. Keystone Therapy provides brain-based counselling and therapy to help you understand the pattern, regulate more effectively, and build a clearer way forward.
"The nervous system doesn't lie. When we learn to listen to it, real change becomes possible."
Every service draws on brain science, relational research, and a genuine commitment to practical change — supporting relief, regulation, repair and improved functioning.

Your first appointment is a chance to slow things down and understand what is happening. We will discuss what has brought you to therapy, what patterns are affecting your life or relationships, and what kind of support may be most useful.
Six connected stages, not six separate techniques — ARCHR²™ is Keystone Therapy's structured, brain-based map for anxiety, ADHD-related stress, relationship patterns, emotional regulation, and sustainable change.
Explore the FrameworkSeeing the pattern clearly — the first step before anything can change.
Building the capacity to manage nervous system activation without being overwhelmed or shutting down.
Repairing and deepening relational bonds — with self, others, and meaningful purpose.
Addressing the underlying patterns that maintain distress, not just the symptoms.
Making new patterns durable through repetition and lived practice.
Building the capacity to recover, adapt and strengthen wellbeing over time.

I'm Steve — Behavioural Neurotherapist, researcher, and founder of Keystone Therapy in Perth, with over 30 years of clinical experience in ADHD, anxiety, trauma, attachment and emotional regulation. My path started with a PhD from the University of London, followed by neuroscience research at Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Texas Institute of Neurological Science — work that shaped the brain-based, evidence-informed approach I bring to every session.
"I want clients to leave not just feeling better, but understanding themselves better. That understanding is what makes change stick."
My approach centres on ARCHR²™ (Awareness · Regulation · Connection · Healing · Reinforcement · Resilience²), the clinical framework I developed as Founding Director of the Syntropy Foundation™. I draw on brain-based neuro-therapy, trauma-informed practice and evidence-informed relational work — including as a qualified PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator — to help clients build lasting self-awareness and self-regulation, not just short-term relief. I see clients in person in Perth and via telehealth across WA and nationally. If you're unsure whether therapy is right for you, I offer a free initial consultation so we can explore that together, with no obligation.
